MG42-Gustloff assembled, dated 1943.










MP40-Erma assembled dated 1943...with a Luger and P.38.















MP44-Erma assembled.








MG34 and MG42 both Gustloff assembled.




The markings on the MG34.




NOTE;

-Erma's code in 1943 which is present on the MP40 is "ayf"
WaA 280..other sub contractors codes are stamped on different components of the gun.

-Erma's code in 1944 was "qlv" as shown on the MP44 together the WaA280 acceptance stamp.


-Gustloff's code in 1939 was 936 with WaA4 acceptance stamp
as shown on the MG34.


-Gustloff's code in 1943 was "dfb" with WaA4 acceptance stamp.
The "dfb" code is shown on the MG42.


I will post more stuff on German and Axis pistols as well as Russian and American pieces.

congrats for owning such beautiful examples. Don't you like german rifles also (K98k, G41, G43) ? or maybe you didn't have the chance to catch one that met your criteria ?
I dream to get a MG42 like yours sometimes....really nice...

JPhilip, I looked for an all matching K98k for a long time to complement my WWII German collection .....no luck.

I eventually found the 1941 Portuguese Contract rifle shown below.
The extensive markings and the overall condition of this gun caused me to move forward and buy it.

The bayonet is not matching, however it is in the same "H" block
as the rifle.
