Thanks for the reply John (you know the wood is soft when a fly tries to land on the butt stock it gets bogged down and it turns in to a crash site :).

Eric do you find the Chinese furniture you are using on your Russian SKS is made from a very soft wood it seems like every time I touch mine or use it there is a new scratch or a ding in the wood
Regards Mark K
Yes it is Mark. I could write my name in it with my fingernail.

Guys,
Been offered this sling for my SKS, seems to be missing an attachment on one end, what do you think, is it a Yugo SKS sling ??
Cheers
M
Looks like a fine Yugoslav military SKS sling and oiler to me.
You can get one here for 20.00$ if they still have them..........................Google Image Result for https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/productcart/pc/catalog/DSC00477.JPG.........................................
