    Hi Guys,

Not sure where I should post this one, so Mods, if it's in the wrong section please move it.
It's an Australian army issued M1, I picked up a long time ago from a mate
who was in the army in the mid 80's.
I can't see any stampings in the shell whatsoever, only the catalogue number in the liner.
    All comments and opinions welcome.

ive got one the same name in side blackwell and on the side of the liner cat.No.8415.50.753.5792 but on the inside of the head band is the arrow stamp . but i put a 1969 mitchell camo cover on it. but if u find a aus cam cover for it, from what i was told there was not to many made for the m1 aus helmet because they changed to kevlar. with a aus cam m1 cover to me would be a nice item i seen one for sale a while ago a should have got it.

There were some Auscam covers, most of hem seem to be issued to Townsville based units, the rest of us used cut up old cam shirts, cut up inner tubes and black tape on our M1's

Yeh, to find one that was specifically made for M1 would be very hard....they were only around for a few years, I saw a couple from blokes who'd benn posted from Townsville, but I reckon many would have been trashed through use or handed in, when swapping for Kevlar....though not all Q stores required a one for one swap, I men I still have mine....too hard to store nd send back! So there may be some about in trunks in someone's garage, or used to polish the car!
