    Hi Battle gear,

Does this helmet have a additional strap sewn on the chinstrap and thus forming a kind of open chin cup?

    Nice helmet, especially the cover.

    Cheers,
    Emile

    Hi Mate.

Nice looking para lid, I believe these were used from 1971,and in the 80's these lids were fitted with, French F1 suspension.

Nice collectable piece, I particularly like the cover, extremely hard to get hold of, on my side of the pond, which is ironic,as I'm closer to Belgium, than you are

    Thanks for sharing another, classic

I dont own this helmet, I saved the photos from an auction last year and kept them for reference, it does have a nice "been there" field used look

this is the helmet that would have also been used in the Congo / Zaire

    Hi Battle gear,

This helmet would have been used in the Kolwezi affair in the late seventies, but not in operation Red Dragon in 1964. In these years they still used the Belgian clone of the AT helmet.

    Cheers,
    Emile
