    thanks for the nice compliments guys ,im hoping these next pictures will explain the way the cammo cover is retained ive used my belgium para lid for comparison this lid uses the 2nd pattern jigsaw cammo ,basically a car tyre inner tube is cut into strips and forced down the shell it gives a nice tight fit and offer's good protection quite a few nations used this method ,but mainly france and belgium ,ive also seen a few israeli m1's finished in this fashion im sure there are others but none spring to mind at present ,enjoy james Click image for larger version.

    Excellent shots of these great lids James.

    One liner has a Dutch sweatband attached ,into what looks like an early Belgium liner...cool.
