    Default Bulgarian Helmet WW2?

    Hey guys,

Can anyone please tell me if I've got a WW2 Bulgarian helmet?
I was told this type isn't common......that old line I know.
There is a Red star under the 2 White horizontal lines.
Do those lines have any meaning?
It's had a repaint in a darker Green at some point.

    Any info is much appreciated.

    Cheers,

This is the M36C, the third and final model of the M36 series. These would have been in use during WW2, certainly. They also continued on - along with the A and B models - for decades later, and can be found in virtually 'new' refurbished condition often with new liners and straps. They're not uncommon and a lot of all M36 types in varying conditions (some probably WW2 vintage) have been put on the surplus market in the last ten years (though it is always wise to remember that they might not always be so common). Yours definately looks like it has the original liner and straps - there are several variations of liner.

    Thanks guys.

I'm just going to tell my wife it's very rare and it was worth the $50 I paid for it.

    Great minds think alike! Lol.
We have met the enemy and have learned nothing more about him. I have, however, learned some things about myself. There are things men can do to one another that are sobering to the soul. It is one thing to reconcile these things with God, but another to square it with yourself. - Robert Leckie
