that was a good price for a WWII Italian M33 , it has a nice well used battlefield relic look with the worn paint

Yep, italian m33, great purchase for 25$, those have a similar look to the portuguese m40.

I bought my first two helme ts, a 60s model American M1 and what I thought was a Russian helmet. I only bought the "Russian" helmet because I wanted a Cold War counterpart to what was obviously a newer M1. I paid $15 for the M1 in almost perfect shape and $25 for the Russian thinking I was getting ripped off for a helmet in such crappy shape.
Ah, children and fools, I guess
