I'm looking for something good, relatively cheap ($1-$60), NOT a repro, and could maybe survive a nuclear apocalypse.
Besides all of that, Im willing to buy anything that is used or new.

Hey Rob,
I'm not sure what type you are looking for, but Sportsman's Guide has a selection that you might find of interest and they will be in the price range you mentioned.
I'll also mention that their Russian Ssh 40 is a post war Ssh 40. I picked one up and its dated 1957

Thanks Phil.
I am looking for a helmet of any country (Hence why I put it in "World Steel Helmets") I am thinking of maybe a polish Wz67/85, or maybe a soviet SSh40. Also, thanks for the recommendation. I'm looking on there right now.
Your quite welcome.
The Ssh 40 I got from SG looked like it just came out of the factory.
Good luck in your search.

Grab a Swiss M71 helmet, not made in huge numbers "Tonka tough" too and will be very collectable in the future.
IRAQI helmets can still be found for a reasonable price, plus they are real battlefield pick ups / bring backs
I like eastern European helmets.
You can build quite a nice collection on a budget .
Polish, Yugoslavian, East German, maybe an M1 American (post WWII), etc.
The ssh40 is a clasic!
I collect predominantly post war helmets ( mainly due to price and a lack of fakery)
Here in the UK we can pick up mk6, 6a and mk7 helmets for £10 to £40. If you do your homework and look in the right places you can pick up a veterans helmet from Iraq and Afganistan. In my lowly opinion these helmets, whilst being sold as surplus at the moment will be the militaria of the future, so could be a fair investment.
I have a few ACH helmets from US vets that are reasonably priced.
It really depends on what interests you
