French M51

Hello,

I just bought a French M51 helmet. It is in NOS condition, made in 1952. It has fixed bails. But, my question is about one of the bales.While you are wearing it, the left bail is bent inwards, toward your head. I am not sure if this is what it is supposed to be like.

it was not welded on correctly, but they would have probably still used it like that since it has no effect on the function of the strap

it's more of a imperfection / defect
