French OTAN M51 Helmet

    Ahh Glad Wifey made it home in one piece big time!
    Here's the 68 ZA helmet, well used in the conflict! liner strap was always was kept under the helmet liner webbing as Wifeys shots show in the previous post. Big differences in the shell strap male clip, the earlier 63 shell clip is a half type! note the ZA liner chin strap clasp

    Hi all. This is an interesting thread. I thought I would add my recently acquired South African manufactured M1 "Otan" helmet. This one has fixed bale and so very happy to find with the hessian cover and net. It even has "original" SA red dirt inside the liner!

    Heres my French M51 Otan sourced from the same dealer as the SA M51 featured above. I think these helmets are quite underrated and will become more sought after in the future.
