This was a gift a few years back. Greek, pre-war, war, post-war? Interested in the paint in particular.

It has the wartime liner...sorry can't help w/ the paint, Glenn
Its a war time helmet with post war re-paint, it's the standard re-paint by the Greek army. It's a nice example, and a nice gift to have been given.
Damn shame about the paint, thought it was an Italian re-paint.
Hello, nice helmet. yeah it looks original shell, liner and chinstrap but repainted.
But nice helmet and it was a gift. I wish that people gift my things like this .
Amilcar.
Great helmet
The helmet is a ww2 M34 helmet with war time liner and chinstrap. The stamp at the liner says GREEK ARMY with a Cross. The mainly symbol of the Orthodox Christians. This helmet also used after war by the Greek constabulary
what color should a ww2 greek helmet be.
The inside of the helmet shown is the original olive green color, on the second picture of the outside you can see the difference where the darker green has been scratched.
Compare the color of your helmet with the original WW2 olive green color of the two following M34 Greek helmets. Unfortunatelly, most of the M34 helmets are post war repainted.
Cheers, aghs
