Well, the closest thing to home of course is Ted Muhovski's website - Bulgarian Helmtes' History
But whether it will answer all your specific questions is another thing. Although I think we can be pretty certain that any helmet with a red star on it is going to be post-WW2!
Also the old reliables of WWH - .: World War Helmets - Bulgarie :. - and Joseba - BULGARIA The two most comprehensive and reliable helmet websites on the planet. Probably.
There may well be all sorts of militaria forums operating in Bulgaria but if you can find them - and more importantly read them - you're a lot better linguist than I.
