IDN , thats an interesting varient, do you know if it's made in Indonesia? or is it a euro export model? these helmets are probably hard to find over here, I never see any Indonesia surplus in the US.

Many thanks for showing this example, it appears to be wider as in more flared on the edges than a Euro or US M1, very interesting model indeed

I don't quite know which country produced this helmet, I thought it was exported from Europe. There's this marking, might be a clue which country produced it?

Not that hard to find actually, the seller still have 2-3 helmets in his stock. I it bought for about $20. And also I saw it few times it still used when the Army is march/training.

I noticed the stainless steel rim with rear seam and the shape of the swivel bale piece looks the same as on my Belgium M51 shell?

it could be a Belgian M51 or Norway M58 export? the liner looks similiar to the Norwegian M58

The Norwegian M1 clone is refered to as a M58, these steel shells were manufactured in Austria and the plastic liners in Denmark.

the probability that this is Belgian is bigger. Indonesia had a few contracts with Belgium before, such as the license to produce the FN FAL, so it might be exported from Belgium.

Thanks, in my opinion they're from different unit :-?
In my helmet's marking the number ends in 37, while yours is 31. And also my helmet doesn't have other marking, like the star inside the circle.

Maybe the square marking is from the manufacturer?

Maybe, or maybe it's a distribution batch number. So many possibilities.
