    The iraqi's certainly took the third reich concept of a scorched earth policy to the extreme ,the ecological damage was just terrible and most probably still being felt to this day ,here is my m90 to share with you ian the staining or grime is very moderate compared to your fine example Click image for larger version.

    no worries ian and thanks some of my work mate's are boy's from the black stuff and so can say the residue from there work activities mainly affects the lower portion of there clothing with there trousers taking the brunt of the tar ,the owner of your helmet must of been sleeping on the job im going to stick with my original theory on your example

    Just put up a nice pasgt on composite helmets take a look it's got some markings on it you might like
