any chance of a liner picture to confirm bgs
Sorry to sound like a broken record here - but we should be saying "zimmerit-like" coating with helmet finishes like this. Yes, I know we gravitate to zimmerit as a term to explain any rough paste coating on helmets but it is generally accepted that the actual product - a heavy anti-magnetic mine paste designed for armor - was never actually used on helmets during the war...... the damn things were heavy enough!!!
Not trying to be an old pain, just trying to quell the urban myth that arises every now & then .......
" When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle "
NP Dan, still a cool helmet so I say zimmerit like finish then
thanks for going to the trouble of the extra picture chevy fan
