    This is my first thread on this forum!
    I am looking for help with a stamp on the crown of my French M51 (Mle 51) Helmet.
    I know that Franck and Dunois made shells for the French Mle 51 Helmet, and they left their marks on the shell. I have a Mle 51 that has S.A.U.F. on the shell. Who made this shell?
    Is there a Website I can go to for the stamps on my Helmet?

    Welcome, here's an excellent French site, it's in French though and you may need to sign up for free.

    Hello,
    A nice example. I really like the French clones.
    Shell made by SAUF Paris. They only made shells in 1953.
    Interesting that 'SAUF' translates to 'EXCEPT' in English. I can't find any other information about the company.

    Yeah I like the French Clones too! This one I don't think it was ever issued! Its brand New! I really appreciate the help guys! You guys are the BEST!
