    Hello,

I am new here. I bought a metal helmet from an estate sale. I appears very old and pretty, with nails on it, about 5 lb weight 36 cm (14.5") long.

Could anyone tell help me to identify the origin of the helemt?

    Thanks,

    Jingye

PS. I also need to identify a cast iron tank model. Is this forum the right place?

You can put the tank in the models section. This doesn't look WW2 or real. I don't think they would use nails on a helmet, but I could be 100% wrong. IMO......this is an older reproduction.

    Hi, Jingyel.
    Welcome to the Forum.............!

I too think it is some sort of copy/repro, as it is a cast piece.
    Regards,

    Steve.

as noted this is a cast piece, and was most likely made for decorative purposes. it is very reminiscent of the helmets typically worn by the "Myrmillonis" a type of roman galdiator.

My thoughts exactly! Plus it looks like quite a heavy piece for a helmet, judging from the last photo and surely pretty uncomfortable for wear.
