hi kristian,
As no one has answered you on this one i think it is middle eastern
it is no good for protection, so it must be for cerimonial use.
As it is made of copper and very thin it has no real use as a helmet,
It was probabley worn over a shamar or similar head dress.
hope this helps, do you collect any military items ?.
