well i dont know about the shell but the liner is all new/repro ????

Hi, i've had it about 10 years so i don't think its a repo as such i wondered if it had been revamped for civil defence or Royal Observer corps post war. The strap is leather and rivetted in place so its not part of a dog lead cut to size!

hello, thats a surplus WWII British shell that was relined and used by the GREEK ARMY post WWII [probably dates from around 1947 - 1950's era] may have been used by civil defense.

the chin strap is made from a British pack strap, the liner was installed by the Greeks after WWII many countries bought surplus gear to equip there armies.

I have one identical to yours, the shell is marked AMC 1941

AMC stands for AUSTIN MOTOR COMPANY [British helmet maker]
