Thank you for commenting and very well said, it is an uninspiring shape sadly. As before the fantastic quality leather work makes up for it's shortcomings
You are indeed right. The leather work on all Swedish helmets is outstanding. Just like the Swiss helmets.
But I reckon the shape offers adequate head protection, and it is a very "heavy duty" helmet.

Another good point buddy, Swiss leather-work is one of the best out there, and I would definitely compare the quality of the Swedish to Swiss craftsmanship. And again the dome is rather large so would assume it would offer good protection

    I have 2 Swedish helmets.
I just got the M26 because I liked the look of it.
I tend to be fond of silly looking things, just ask my wife.....
My m26 is size 72 which is a great size for my head, althouigh there is way too much horse hair in the padding.
Makes for a very tight fit.
My other one is a wee bit too small.

Actually your other one is a Swiss M18/40, as it has the open-ring M40 liner and the original green paint underneath, it was made between 1940 and 1943.

Danger, very nice example of the Swedish M-26 which look's to be in a very similar condition as mine.

The Swiss M18/40 is very nice too, I particularly like the condition of this example
