unknown helmet

i believe that this is an italian helmet but im not sure
it is hanging in a bar in Grafenwhoer ober bayen germany
any help as to its true identaty would be much apreciated
it is gloss black painted and as you can see it has a grenade badge on the front
i sould not take a pic of the liner as it is screwed to the wall

Well, the "Flaming Grendade"+"RF" emblem is definitely French. (RF = Republique Francaise)

I think it might be a french police helmet. If i'm wrong, sorry. Helmets are not my cup of tea.

I think it's a French Gendermarie police riot helmet, a model F1 helmet with leather straps

heres one on ebay right now, but he calls it a French Foreign Legion helmet

they usually sell for around $30 on ebay still pretty common and easy to get

French Gendarme Helmet. You can attach a face-shield to it as well.They are quite common. The surplus store here in downtown Seattle has had one for sale for at least 8months...Personally, I wouldn't contaminate my helmet collection with one.
