look like a kids toy ?
Looks like a swedish helmet
i would say definately japanese but converted postwar with a retro fitted liner ,notice the redundant side holes
Regards James
I was also thinking Japanese but used postwar , thank you for your replys
the three slots are also a hallmark of Japanese helmets ,this would of been where the frontal insignia was mounted and the side slots are for retaining the liner ,i imagine the large angular shape would of been the location of the the postwar insignia i cant quite pinpoint which country would of used this postwar but would rule out japan, regards james
Regards James
Thank you James
May have found it i think it may be a Type 30-32 Siamese (Thailand) Helmet.
i would agree kradman ,your insignia ghosting matches perfectly ,nice detective work the liner is very french adrian in style and fixings ,we got there in the end mate ,regards james
Regards James
Absolutely a Thai rework of the Japanese M32. I found one of these some years ago and created this temporary query page for it (never deleted, must do some housekeeping!) - Picture_40
Dave Powers' note may be interesting to you, Kradman.
