Article about: can anybody identify the origin of this Russian type helmet? it has an unusual liner with a screw or rivet? on top like a British tommy helmet also has a foam rubber pad inside like a Britis

    I think it's a cold war era helmet used by some other country?

    sorry I don't know but after the top head rivet is polish .

    yes, it looks like it could be a transitional Polish model Wz75

    notice this Polish helmet also has a rivet on top but the webbing / liner is different, more modern looking.

    I read that they also supplied these to the North Vietnamese during the VN war

    imported primarily from Poland, but also from Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and Russia, were used primarily by self defense forces, anti-aircraft and artillery crews and truck drivers.

    Hello. Sorry for bad news but this one is NOT a Polish helmet. More East Germany. I will try to find more details.
