WW2 M35 wire helmet

Hello im thinking about picking up this helmet. What do you think about it?

Looks to me to be artificially aged, typical of the fakes coming out of Latvia. I would steer clear of this one.

I wonder why you can't see the chinstrap or where the wire wraps around the helmet skirt in the first and third pic, from left to right. Something to hide? Not the same helmet? Chinstrap looks like a definite repro. I'm not digging this one at all. I'd pass.

I agree, camera angles are so perfect to miss certain details. Wouldnt touch it at all.

Those pics don't change my mind at all, and they don't show anything really. And now I really don't like the helmet color. I still say it's no good.

The wire basket is definately a recent addition. Where is the wear to the helmet from the wire? Also the basket is such a close fit to the shell, how would the soldier have fit foliage in, sticky taped it to the outside? Still don't like it.

I've seen these exact wire baskets, pre formed for sale.....even says in the add they will age quickly
