Well Sunday was nice. 80 degrees & sunny. Took the wife & Shorty to an antique car show in Ft. Lauderdale.

The lime green hemi charger has his spread sheet out. Cost for ground up restoration...$415K. Yes, close to 1/2 million. My favorite was the black corvette with the 427...temptation was there to sell some helmets & get back into cars again.

Couple shots of the wife & shorty at the restored Good Humor Ice cream truck.

Never been much of a 'car guy', but those are some beautiful machines! Have always loved vintage muscle cars. They have a finesse that you just don't see in modern ones.

Looks like a great day out David and Shorty appears to be in top form!

My other expensive hobby is riding and restoring oldish motorbikes so I have to balance that against helmets.

Think of me if you decide to get back into cars David...wink wink lol.

American muscle cars of the 1960's/early 70's might just be a better investment than SS helmets. I love that black "vette".

Yep...cars were at a low point about 10 years ago...but back up there again. Very unpredictable but the guys who are "hardcore" collectors, the passion is a lifetime bug, they don't care. (By the way, the black vette was a mere $200K.)

Looks like all muscle car show except ice cream truck and lonely 56 chevy in the background . I too am in to old cars and bikes so I know how you feel ( selling one to finance the other ) but I just keep doing all three . You see , I don't have a wife to keep me on the straight and narrow ( tried that twice ) so I stay drunk and broke all the time . Oh wait that's 4 habits . Thanks for sharing it brightened up my day .
