Default Memorial Day! SHOW YOUR VET'S PIC'S!!!!!!!!

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for
those who have died in service of the United States of America.

I recently got this in the mail from a Father of one of the young Marine Corps Devil Dogs that worked for me. He was a great electronics tech at my Air Traffic Control facility. But at the time the USMC was looking for EOD techs, The bonuses and promotions in there were something that wasn't being offed in his current field. So he went for it!

That smile on his face was a daily thing that lit up the shop. He was a DAMNED GOOD MARINE AND IS ALWAYS MISSED!

Please keep in mind that this holiday isn't about BBQ and Good times. But have them. We should celebrate the life of those that gave their all for you to do so!

I invite all here to add your contributions to this thread,

Phil, you are correct Monday is a sacred day. I do not have a picture to show but we met over breakfast with other vets and visit different cemeteries and place flag on the graves of the brave.

    RIP Alton W.Ward
    RIP Peter Dinneen
I have other pic's and names that shall not go unspoken. But I'm hoping to get a fantastic response for this thread. I read them and say them aloud that they will know we are still honoring their sacrifice.

I'll post them when this one goes to the bottom and needs a BUMP TO THE TOP!

I want to add that this is for any nation that have lost a family member. So please feel free to post.
    Lets keep their memorize alive

Default 1st Lt. Nainoa K. Hoe. KIA January 22, 2005 in Mosul, Iraq.

    Greetings all,

I have had the privilege to know and serve with over two dozen fallen Army brothers during my service in the Army, but Nainoa was truly the best amongst the best. I wear his named bracelet to this day, I assure you I will not forget his memory or his ability to give his crusty old 1SG a good comeback when joked with. Rest in peace, brother.

My friend and neighbor, Tsgt. Owen Mobley.

He served as a Air Liaison for the 3rd Army under Gen Patton. He flew a L4
"grasshopper" to spot German troops and artillery. He was part of Patton's staff
and had Patton up on many occasions. He also served during Korea and worked
for the Army as a civilian contractor during Vietnam. He gave 40 years to the US Army
in one capacity or another. I lived across the street from him for 30 years. He was one
of the best men I have ever known.

The pic below was one he gave me of him starting his L4 and his dog "Mac"
