Just yelled at the neighbor kid for punching and kicking his dog, hard. I can't believe he was doing that. He seemed like a lonely but good kid for the few years I've seen him over there, but now that he's approaching high school age, he's changing and getting in with the wrong crowd. Him and his friends have beat the hell out of a tree in his front yard with a hammer too. Much more bark loss and it will probably die. His mom is the only adult around, and she seems uninvolved. Now, I bet I'm an enemy of his for getting on to him, but I couldn't let him hit that dog. I dread what he's going to be like at high school age. It's really sad, and I'm sure this is a product of his environment. Still, anyone who would treat an animal like that has wiring wrong in their brain, and that concerns me.
