    Exclamation volunteer aid/coach

    Note for all

Up through at least mid-July I will not be able to take part with this forum,
as usual and so often with the beginning of next week.
I will have a look of course so now and then (possibly everyday), but if and
when I am able to check my files and give proper answers, I do not know.

At least six weeks (or maybe even more) I am fully occupied as a volunteer aid/
coach in another city nearby my hometown!
Already made appointments are taken care for (and will not be cancelled), for that
    I will interrupt my aid-job.

Got my coach-assignments this morning for those weeks:
assisting at the patients-section for the orthopaedics
in a hospital, combined with assisting patient(s) at home
after a surgery. So, largely helping out where needed
to bring some comfort and relieve.......Doing good for
    the community.

Another assignment, starting on Monday. I will not or
hardly be able to visit the forum, as I am out-of-town
for the next 4 weeks or so! It even can take into the
    last week of November.......

If all goes as planned I can visit the forum with full
interest from about the first week of December.
One month or about to go and assist.

The last three weeks needed my full attention for the
"job", on daytime, but also during the nights!
Today and tomorrow I can take a rest and sleep!

After six weeks my job is done, being a voluntary-aid
for persons that had an operation in a hospital. Not
always pretty, but it gives a good feeling! Now I will
have more time again to visit the forum!

It started today with a meeting from old comrades
with me serving in New-Guinea (a former Dutch colony),
a nice reunion where we got a bronze shield, after 54
years, as a recommendation for our commitment during
the problems there in 1961-1962. The handing over
was accompanied by an "order of the day" from the
commander of the land forces (lieutenant-general
    Beulen).

I was asked to hand over officially "our book" (which I
edited and was written many years ago) to him.
The photo shown here is taken during an in-official meeting
    and chat with him.
