When you open the case for the first time, you'd swear that you were looking at a cross made of tombac, the finish is THAT good.
But no, turn it over and you'll see the hardware setup that signifies you have a lump of zinc in your hand. You'll be astonished that the silver finish has lasted so well.
This is probably one of the best preserved zinc KvK1s that I have seen and owned. It won't look out of place in any collection.
Marked 4 on the pin, the cross comes in its original case. As with all late war, economy cases, the paper hinge has split however, the rayon lining inside, holds it all together.
