This is their variant maker mark which was created after the original manufacturing dies were destoryed in late 1944 by allied air raids on Berlin. That makes the production run of these badges very limited and badges with this mark extremely sought after by serious collectors. The bronze finish that you are seeing is actually an undercoating used during the finishing process to get the lower quality silver wash to correctly adhere to the badge itself. This is a textbook piece in every way and of the highest quality. Juncker is the most desired maker of the Heer flak badges and this is a very rare opportunity to grab one.
