    An unusual and famous name. I wonder if he was a relative of Capt Noel Chavasse RAMC VC and bar, MC?

    Thanks for posting this Shako and box , I have an 1860's Shako to The Sydney Mines Volunteers . And I always wondered what the box would look like , as I have a small collection of hat boxes . Thanks as always Ade for posting .
