    looks ok to me.

    Lots of fake copper and brass bugles around but they don't usually have markings on them, though they often have a fake cap badge soldered to them. The markings could mean its a good one. The cords look modern and though originals would have a meaning but these probably do not.

    Looks a good piece. I believe this company became
    'Boosey & Hawkes' in the early 30's.........

    Thanks guys, again you guys are a great help =) . I've now removed the rope, I did think it looked a little odd. Yes I've seem plenty of them badged bugles around but my gut feeling was to completely stay clear of them.
