    Default All For The Fatherland

    Hi everyone,

I recently picked up this WWI-era Italian ring with the patriotic motto "1915 TUTTO PER LA PATRIA." Not in great shape but I plan to leave as is. Based upon what I've read, it might have been presented to individual/family in exchange for precious metal jewelry given for the war effort. I imagine that these were mass produced, but still a neat item I think for my WWI collection.

Interesting item. And two piece construction as well.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Nice and original, they were sold to obtain funds to support the war effort.
It was made from an iron rod welded at the ends, the inner surface in contact with the skin, was covered in German silver.
