A recent pick up, a tracing paper map with handwritten annotations showing the dispositions of the front lines, listening posts, mg placements, stokes mortars bn HQ's etc...
Dated for the last day of the battle of Lys when the German spring 1918 offensive finally ground to a halt.
It shows the area of the lys canal and St Floris, where on the 13th July 1918 Seigfried Sassoon was in the line at St.Floris when he goes out on patrol and is shot when Sgt.Griffiths mistook him for a German.
