Default Cigarette Case presented to a Veteran of the Boer War

Didnt know were else to post this that would represent it well. Anyhow this is the 3rd of the items I am posting from todays pickup. Its a sterling silver cigarette case. On the front its engraved:

    Presented to
    Arthur Agnew
    on his return
    From the S African Campaign
    1900-1901
    By J(cyclists)Co
    1st V.B.D.R

Now I did a simple search online once I was back home and I found Boer War Honor Roll in Devon:

    AGNEW, A
Private Arthur Agnew of the 1st Rifle Volunteers. Son of Samuel and Margaret Agnew. Samuel Agnew was a gun and rifle maker with a retail outlet in Exeter. Arthur Agnew was born in Exeter in the December Quarter of 1876. The Rifle Volunteers were part of the Devon Service Company which joined the Devonshire Regiment in Natal in 1900. Present at Exeter to receive his medal from Lord Roberts 9 September 1901.

I am pretty happy with this little pick up as well. Lovely case and beautiful engraving with a good solid history

    Cheers
    Jason
