I just moved to Ogden! Are you going to bring it down any time soon? I would love to see this beautiful machine in person.
Barring difficulties, the ambulance should be at Fort Douglas Saturday, the 15th of June for Fort Douglas Days.

What a wonderful job you did with that ambulance! It was very moving for me to see something other than pictures of one as, that is what my Great Uncle did "over there".
Thanks so much for posting and bringing such history back to life.

I won't be able to come. I've got a big airsoft event that day.

But if you are going to be passing through in Ogden that night I'd love to meet up and take a look!

Do you have any information on his service? It would be nice to add any information to my project, and help preserve their stories.

All I know is that he was in the 26th"Yankee" division as he was from Rhode Island. I was only 9 years old when he died in 1964 but, I remember him well. He was my hero then and still is now.
I have spent a lot of time trying to find him but...nothing.

My grandfather also served in the 26th Division, but he was from Oregon, and his Division was broken up for replacements. He may have met your grandfather when he was wounded.
