Is this a genuine Italian M15?

So I found this little piece recently and it caught my eye. The painted insignia matches up in design to other Italian helmet's of WW1 I have seen - would anyone be able to identify if this is genuine or not? (sorry for the average photo's, all the seller has)

Hey FinMC,

Not an expert on these, but my gut feelings tells me that the insignia looks oddly fresh. I'm sure others will chime in soon.
