Not sure what it is but it translates to Prisoner of War Camp Phoenix
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks. There are some on the internet but not sure about this one. Had it a year and usually research but this one is allusive. It is said to be issued by a private pow camp. The only phoenix in Germany seems to be phoenix AG which is a rubber company. If it's genuine, it may have been used to pay POWs. Pow tokens exist but can't find reference this one in official lists.
I had once interviewed a gentleman who had served in the British Army (Liverpool Scottish) during WW1 and was a POW. They would be paid regularly and once a week taken into the town to go shopping. According to him, they were paid thought the International Red Cross in "German money", but it was their regular pay from the British Government.
Many thanks that's interesting. There are lots of pow camp notes around but tend to be really expensive. I live close to a pow camp site in England and we have found some old German buttons and English jars and other artifacts but no coins yet. The camp dates to ww2 and had Luftwaffe, kriegsmarine, ss and Wehrmacht troops there from time to time.
