    Default Handmade

During the war my Paternal Grand Dad worked in a munitions factory making grenades etc, he was a Blacksmith by trade and he made this hat using a penny of the day.
Dated 1916, he must have done this during a rare time off.

That is a delightful little cap. I have some things that my maternal grandfather wrote, but nothing handmade like this.

What a cool little thing to have from your grandfather! Treasure it well and be sure to tell your kids about it too so that it doesn't vanish if something would happen to you! It Belongs in the family and not some antique shop shelf!
