Hi Guys, and welcome to the forum!

They are not a pattern I recognise? The problem is Officers purchased their own uniforms and boots etc. As a result there was some latitude in designs of items worn such as this. They could be from WW1 but equally they could be civilian items of the period.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for the input Ade. I've really made an effort to find any kind of photo or information that would place these darn things, military or otherwise, but I've just drawn a big blank. Just by style and condition I think it is safe to say they are of the WWI ear but as you mentioned, they could be civilian as well. THey are laying around the basement of a local antique shop with a $25US price tag on them, I should probably just pick them up before they disappear, in hopes that they do turn out to be a lost military treasure.

    Again, Thanks for your input.

    Russ
