Its cold and I am currently snowed in. So I treated myself to a new medal pair.

1st Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment

Killed In Action on 30th August 1918

Remembered At The Vis-en-artois Memorial France

Bit of an update. I had miss read the name and it is actually Brookes.

I have just found something which truly sent a shiver down my spine. It seems he was not the only one to die that day, and in fact a shocking amount of men were killed from the 1st Battalion on 30th August 1918.
