Default King's Royal Rifle Corps cap badges

I am showing these in the WW1 forum, but putting an exact date on these badges is difficult, as the same pattern was worn in WW2. I suspect the right hand badge is a WW1 issue.

Note the usual Rifle Regt blackened finish. The Regt wore a red cloth backing to the badge which kind of spoilt the subdued effect of the badge.

Note the slightly different dies used on each badge: one has a peiced crown.

    Cheers, Ade.
