Article about: Hello! I need a bit of help with this Trenchknife I just got home. Is the handguard genuine and modified or is it an old copy? The blade I know for a fact is a later modification.

    Handguard looks fine to me, but of course with an odd blade it makes it look a little wrong. Hope the deal was worth it based on what you have got there.

    Greetings,

    The handle is a modern reproduction, which (as in this exact style's case) are being marketed from France. As you have well-noted, the blade nor the retaining nut are original L.F.&C. manufactured variants.

    Okey, but how modern are we talking? 30 years or after WW1-WW2
    I payed 360€ for it.

    IMO, too much for a reproduction.
