I can identify the military stuff easily enough. How basic do you want me to be? I don't want to insult your intelligence

Hahaha dont be afraid of insulting me. I know there are some id tags there. I dont know why there is one on its own in what looks like its in perfect condition. Its got the same name as what on the other tags (my wife's grandad)

Id like to know when, where, and if the badges are real

    Same with the buttons

Thanks so much for the help

    OK, understood Here's the basics:

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Cap badge worn by four infantry battalions in WWI plus a reserve bn:

20th (Service) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (1st Tyneside Scottish)
21st (Service) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (2nd Tyneside Scottish)
22nd (Service) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (3rd Tyneside Scottish)
23rd (Service) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (4th Tyneside Scottish)
    29th (Reserve) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers

These units were raised for service in WW1 by the city of Newcastle, initially with 34th Division. I am not 100% sure of originality, these have been heavily faked for a long time.

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Shoulder title (worn on bottom of shoulder straps) by men of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. This pattern worn 1908 - c1915. It's real, no doubt about that. It is missing a separate bugle that was worn above it.

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Cap badge of a territorial unit: 8th (Irish) Bn, King's (Liverpool Regiment) (TF). It provided two battalions in WW1, the 1/8th and 2/8th. Again this is a heavily faked badge...

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Cap badge worn by Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire) Regt

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Identity Disc No 1 (often called a 'dog tag'). It belonged to:

    237070 (His army number)
    Name I can't quite see
Royal Berkshire Regt (same as the cap badge)
    Church of England (his religion)

I believe this is a WW1 period dog tag, as it has the regiment marked on it.

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Identity Disc No 1 and No 2. Can't read the name. The circular No 1 was to be removed from a body, the No 2 left on.

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Standard pattern British Army General Service Buttons. These would have been worn on the men's Service Dress jackets and greatcoats, as well as elsewhere.

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

This is a WW2 Women's Land Army brooch

lots of little things here i dont know what they are?

Early WW1 period German Army buttons.

Some good quality shots of the cap badges front and back would help in judging their being genuine or not.

The identitiy discs are actually known as “Disc, identity, No. 1 green” and the already issued disc (since 1914) as “Disc identity, No. 2 red” per Army Order 287/1916, 24 September 1916.

The Single Red Disc (no.2) is Great War---6 Digit numbers not counting Prefixes ar Great War.

What is the info on the two DISC set?

Ooops.. you're absolutely right, I got No 1 and No 2 the wrong way around :/

Might as well shoot me now
