Royal Flying Corps air drop message streamer

Article about: I picked this up today in a local antiques center and though I knew of their existence, I had never seen another in the hand or for sale, so I could not resist buying. Used to drop messages

Many thanks 4th. I hadn't even considered that it may have been an option.

    Will do so.

Agreed, Jerry. Looks a little too pristine for me TBH, but you never know - hence the request for additional photos. I'm also a little concerned about the stitching above the weight - I have not encountered that before.

4th - ya never know...I played the dumb Commonwealth colonist and just hope they take pity on me.

    Cheers

As far as condition goes, I read on an aviation forum that a number of mint NOS examples were found in a store somewhere a number of years back.

To be honest Tim, I did not bookmark the site and all I can remember was that it was an aviation forum I found doing a google search on the RFC streamers.
