Default Sjt. David O'Flaherty South Wales Bords split pair, vm only

Picked up today local to me, a bit bruised but not too expensive and to a NCO in the South Wales Borderers, probably of Irish origin I assume from his name, David O'Flaherty. I have his MIC and he was only entitled to a pair but he did well to reach the rank of Serjeant in that time. I could see his MIC for free on Ancestry as they are free at this time but any other docs are invisible to me.

Are you buying up all the singles you can find to Welsh regiments?

This is all I could find.

    Thanks Tony.

Sort of! Each medal even a single opens up that door into the recipients past as much as a group does. I will keep an eye out for a chance of a reunite, but with a WM only it is likely that the BWM was melted down for scrap, so all that is left is this perhaps.

The medal roll lists his Bn which means I can get at least some idea of where he served and what actions if any he is likely to have had a part in.
