US 1st engineer Meuse Argonne relics

Article about: Can anyone tell me what the number are for. This is the only spoon that I have ever found with the unit markings on it. The items were found next to the river in ROmagne-sous-montfaucon.

    Can anyone tell me what the number are for.
    This is the only spoon that I have ever found with the unit markings on it.

    Numbers are usually a soldiers serial number last few digits.

    Is there anyway to find out who this belong to.

    Hi Chris, I somehow doubt it too. You would need a unit roster with the men's serial number, as researching someone from a part number would be tricky.

    The spoon also has (1 st engineer ) on it could that be helpful?
