US M1917 helmet

Hi all,
I have this helmet US M1917:
brown textured paint
shell marked ZA209
size 7-1/8
liner is marked but I can not identify the manufacturer.
I'm not an expert on these helmets, I ask your opinions on this piece and any information, in particular on markings and manufacturers of shell and liner, is very welcome.

I am no expert on the shell manufacturing stamp. Can't help you there friend.

I believe that this was never distributed, the chinstrap is still in the storage position; I have another interesting, camouflaged with glue and sand. I will post as soon as I can.

Despite extensive archival research, I have yet to uncover any evidence that Benjamin Electric manufactured m1917 helmets, and ZC is definitely NOT Columbian Enameling and Stamping.

Based on correlations between the shell stampings and dated liners, the ZA209 code suggests manufacture in the fall of 1918. The company represented by the letter A was among the most prolific producers of m1917 helmets.

The liner manufacturer is The Leatherwear Company of America, and it was made in 1918, since the company moved to that address at the beginning of the year.
