Verdun postcards

Picked these 2 card up last week at the Liverpool Antiques fair. Never knew much about the battle in Verdun so looking into it. Very sad photos, but not as sad as the fact that a lot of this has been stripped by visitors and collectors and not much remains of the site now!

Hi Dan, I recall reading about this site online and how many of the bayonets etc had been stolen by souvenir hunters.
