WW1 Aussie medal group ; 28th Battl AIF
Came into work today. Never been in a collection before. How they ended up in a farmhouse in Derbyshire is unknown. The family did not know anything about them.
John Thomas Jackson joined up on 19/6/15 and returned safely to Oz on 8/4/19

Ade, I imagine you've checked his record? I'm wondering if he went back home to Stafford or if the medals were left to a family member back in England after he died.

He is wounded in action in 1916.

The battalion diary should be available to view free on-line in the Australian War Memorial website. Great set!
